Stacey Waaka is a dynamic and agile back known for her prowess in both rugby 7s and 15s.
She made her debut with the Black Ferns Sevens team in 2016 and played a key role in their World Cup victory in 2017. A true all-rounder, Waaka has also represented New Zealand in touch rugby and has competed at the provincial level in netball, hockey and athletics.
During the 2019/2020 season, Waaka shone for the Black Ferns Sevens, finishing as the top try scorer in the World Series and earning the DHL Impact Player of the Season award. She later secured a Gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Outside of rugby, Waaka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Sport, and Human Performance.
