Matt Wilpers has been a Peloton Instructor and Training Specialist since 2016 and is well known for his science-based approach to training, including the development of Peloton’s Power Zone Training model. He has competed in many sports; however, his top performances are in distance running where he competed for four years as a NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track distance runner for Georgia State University.
Matt has been coaching runners, cyclists and triathletes of all ability levels since 2008 and co-founded a virtual coaching and bike fit business called Team Wilpers. As a former CPA and pre-med student, he believes that a technical and hands-on coaching approach in combination with a fun and positive training atmosphere brings out the best performances in his athletes.
