Kelly Tilghman spent more than 20 years at Golf Channel as a host for Golf Central and Live Golf, airing on site from the game’s biggest events. She also co-hosted Morning Drive, Golf Channel’s daily news and lifestyle program. Since originally joining the network in 1996, following her stint in professional golf in Australia, Europe, and Asia, Tilghman hosted numerous shows and specials, and previously served as an on-course reporter. In addition, she is the first full-time female play-by-play commentator in the history of the PGA TOUR. She also was the play-by-play voice for EA Sports’ “Tiger Woods PGA TOUR” video game for three years.
Tilghman currently is a golf contributor for CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network’s coverage of the Masters and PGA Championship.
Tilghman attended Duke University and was a key member of the women’s golf team. She graduated in 1991 with a degree in political science and history. Tilghman is one of the founders of Gene’s Dream Foundation, honoring the life and accomplishments of Gene Weldon by helping kids through the game of golf.
A native of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Tilghman is a member of the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame and currently resides in Florida.
