Justin Tuck is a 2x Super Bowl champion and vice president at Goldman Sachs.
From a young age, Justin loved to read and developed an early conscientiousness for academic success. He did well enough in high school to earn a scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. In addition to being an academic force, Tuck was nicknamed The Freak by his teammates for his raw athleticism. He holds several defensive records at Notre Dame. In 2004, he graduated Notre Dame with a degree in management from the Mendoza College of Business.
Tuck was drafted in the third round (74th overall) by the New York Giants in the 2005 NFL Draft. During Super Bowl XLII, Tuck had a spectacular game by repeatedly pressuring New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and recording two sacks and a force fumble.
Off the field, Justin is a published author, having penned Home-Field Advantage, an acclaimed children’s book describing what it was like to grow up with four older sisters.
Together with his wife, Lauran, a 2005 Notre Dame graduate who also holds a master’s degree in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania, he founded Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy program as a way to formalize his advocacy efforts. Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy has been committed to raising funds to donate books and reading materials to support children in the New York, New Jersey, California and Central Alabama communities, as well as providing local organizations with grants to further serve youth.
From a small-town kid getting pushed around by his sisters to Super Bowl superstar taking down the likes of Tom Brady, Justin Tuck is proof that education can take you anywhere you want to go.
