J.P. Crawford is the starting shortstop for the Seattle Mariners. Described as the “heart and soul” of the team by Mariners manager, Scott Servais, J.P. has passionately embraced a leadership role and is considered to be one of the best all-around players in the sport today. J.P. won his first career Gold Glove in 2020, becoming the second Mariners shortstop to ever win the award. Not to mention, he joined Ken Griffey Jr. as the only two Mariners players, the age of 25 and below, to win a Gold Glove. In 2022, J.P. was a key factor in the Mariner’s first postseason run since 2001.

Off the field, J.P. is known for his laid-back, West Coast cool style and love of reggae music. He and his wife, Kathy, are passionate about animal charitable initiatives, partnering with NW Snowdog Rescue in 2021. They own two huskies, Loki and Thor, that are part of a larger family tree of huskies owned by J.P., Kathy, and their respective parents.
