about the artist

BIIANCO is the multi-instrumental music producer, vocalist and overall mad-scientist in a new era of electronic music. The past year has seen them stride into dance music, championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Kiss FM, KCRW, KEXP, Diplo's Revolution on Sirius XM and more. The common threads of playful acid, breaks and trance that run through the punchy productions are reminiscent of the Chemical Brothers with the mainstream appeal of a more emotional Jamie XX. They've garnered press from outlets like NOTION, Wonderland Mag, Billboard, EDM Identity, tmrw and more, while also catching the attention of pioneering tastemaker labels such as Armada, This Never Happened and Part Four. They continue to tour globally, supporting big names like SG Lewis and Dusky, while their festival slots — Secret Garden Party, Body Movements and Outloud among others — clear the way for their high energy and technically mind-blowing hybrid DJ performances. As a queer, partially blind femme producer, BIIANCO has quickly become a symbol of inclusion in a music industry that is too often lacking in it. BIIANCO creates art from a place of raw, emotional movement. They make music to dance and ugly cry to.

BIIANCO is known for their mastery of synths, vocals, production, guitar, bass and drums — and juggles them all effortlessly in their studios and now-infamous viral Instagram and TikTok videos. If there is a common thread in all BIIANCO music, it's emotional movement and the soundtrack of a dying ego.

BIIANCO started their solo project in 2019 after a Joshua Tree Ableton desert retreat inspired an epiphany that they wanted to produce their own music (as opposed to other peoples) moving forward. Since then, they've released a number of singles and, as of 2021, a full length mixtape (Mixtape #2) which featured collaborations with the likes of Luna Shadows, Kaleena Zanders, amo amo, SWIMM, TRACE, MOONZz, Jax Anderson and more.

In 2022, BIIANCO emerged with a refined sound firmly planted in dance and a fast rising DJ and touring career to match. In the words of EDM Identity, "they have been on a steadfast grind to take the electronic dance world by storm." They have already started releasing songs from their upcoming new mixtape (due out in 2023), like 2022's "Close to Love" featuring sad alex and their live schedule remains as full as ever with dates all over the US and now UK and Europe.

Collaborative projects outside of the dance music genre include producing a 2022 alt-rock banger with MILCK, Ani Difranco and Autumn Rowe called "We Won't Go Back" which dominated the rock Spotify playlists and became the official song of the 2022 DC Women's March and the soundtrack to the Roe Vs Wade fallout.

It would be remiss to talk about BIIANCO without talking about their online presence. They continue to stun in their social media, refreshingly presenting both influence AND authenticity. The combination continues to attract not only new fans but also big brand collaborations like Ray Bans, Arturia, Korg, Redbull, Vans, Izotope and more.

So how do you sum up BIIANCO? Well, in their own words, they're just here to make music to "dance and ugly cry to." In our words, they are a revolution.
