David Carr joined NFL Network in 2016 as an NFL analyst for various programs, including Total Access.
Carr was the first overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, and in his first year, he received All-NFL Rookie Team honors. He would play for four different teams over the course of his career, including the Texans, Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers. In 2011, he won a Super Bowl as a member of the Giants.
Carr attended Fresno State University from 1997-2001. In his senior year, he won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award given to college football’s outstanding senior or fourth year quarterback and was a finalist for the 2001 Heisman Trophy. The Fresno State Bulldogs retired his jersey in 2007.
Carr is a Type 1 diabetic who has become an advocate for diabetes awareness and education.
