Mary Carillo is widely recognized as one of the most talented sports journalists today. Carillo covers tennis, the National Dog Show and the Olympic Games for NBC Sports, and served as a reporter for Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel on HBO until 2023.

Carillo has received many accolades and awards over the course of her career, including three Sports Emmys, three Peabody Awards, and Sports Illustrated’s “Top Sports Analyst of the Decade” award. She was the first female to receive the Dick Schaap Award for Outstanding Journalism and was inducted into the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2018.

Before her broadcasting career began, Mary played on the professional tennis tour from 1977-1980. She won the 1977 French Open mixed doubles title and was a doubles runner-up at the U.S. Clay Court Championships and doubles quarterfinalist at the U.S. Open in 1977.

A native of Queens, New York, Carillo lives in Naples, Florida.
