Jennifer Botterill

Standout hockey television analyst Jennifer Botterill is one of Canada’s most successful athletes.

A 14-year member of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team, Botterill is a 3x Olympic gold medalist and an Olympic silver medalist. She played a key role on the Vancouver 2010 team by assisting on the gold medal winning goal. Botterill is also a 5x World Champion and was twice named the most valuable player at the World Championship tournaments.

A graduate of Harvard University, she is the only 2x winner of the Patty Kazmaier award – given to the top player in women’s college hockey.

Today, Botterill can be seen as a studio analyst for Hockey Night in Canada on Sportsnet and as a studio and game analyst for NHL on TNT games. During her career, she has worked with TSN, Sportsnet, and CBC in various roles covering Hockey Canada, the Winter Olympics and the NHL. In 2020, Botterill was an in-studio analyst for NBC’s historic first all-women’s broadcast team.

Recognized as a leader for development and mentorship, Botterill has worked on projects for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). She is an ambassador for Right to Play and has worked with many charities including Kidsport, Children’s Wish Foundation, Sick Kids, Can Fund, Hockey Canada Foundation, and the Canadian Cancer Society.

As the CEO and president of two companies – Excel in Life Inc and Journey to Excel Inc – Jennifer is driven to help others reach their potential and regularly serves as a keynote speaker.

Throughout her career, her family has provided her with plenty of inspiration. Her mother competed in two Olympic Games as a speedskater, her father is at the top of his field as a sports psychologist, her brother is a 3x World Junior Hockey Champion and 3x Stanley Cup Champion, and her husband played professional hockey in Europe and works as a hockey consultant.
